Olympic Standard Sports Lighting Concept and Design Specification

Tokyo Aquatics Centre, one of eight new permanent venues built from scratch for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, was unveiled on Saturday 24 October 2020 after a seven-month delay due to the global pandemic. The state of the art venue has a capacity of 15,000.

Completed in 2020 for Tokyo Olympic Games.

 

Webb Australia were engaged to provide the Olympic Standard Sports Lighting Concept and Design Specification for two locations:


The newly built Tokyo Aquatics Centre Main Olympic Pool and the Olympic Diving Pool.

The second location Webb advised on was the refurbished Tatsumi Water Polo Centre which has a capacity of 4,700.

 

Following the 2020 Olympic Games, that have been postponed to 23 July - 8 August, 2021, the venues will host domestic and international competitions.
